3 full days of open sewing with your quilting friends. Located at the Charlotte Park Civic Association in Punta Gorda from 8 am until the last one leaves each day.

For the flamingo lovers amongst us!!!! Unleash your inner artist in this fun and creative class where you’ll create these charming flamingo wall hangings to brighten any space. Whether you’re a beginning or a seasoned sewer, you’ll learn how to do raw edge applique, binding and quilting as you to help you complete your projects for enjoyment right away. You will also learn when where the best place to put your embellishments and how to apply them.

Learn free motion quilting on your domestic machine! Eric Drexler is a well-known instructor with a national thread company, hosting online tutorials and many regional/local in-person classes in the art of free motion quilting. This class will be limited to 6 students so there will be extensive one-on-one instruction and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice. I've seen the sampler that will be made and it is a great piece when completed. I know you'll enjoy it. Further information and supply list will be available upon registration. Learn to create a beautiful, functional rope bowl in this beginner-friendly class. Using a sewing machine and simple cotton rope, you’ll master the coiling technique to form a sturdy, custom bowl. Add a splash of color with decorative thread or fabric scraps for a truly personalized piece. You’ll leave with a finished bowl and the skills to create many more. The first session, we will create a round bowl of your choice. It can be straight rope, you can add fabric in the bottom for a base or you can add fabric strips randomly or cover the entire bowl with fabric. The second class, we’ll make an oval bowl with handles. Again, you can decorate the bowl in any number of ways.
